The United Celebrant Network acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work, live, play, and learn. We come from diverse backgrounds and are grateful to call this beautiful country, Australia, our home. We honour and respect the deep, intrinsic connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to this land, and we appreciate the wisdom and culture they have nurtured over countless generations. We feel honoured to hear, and participate in any Aboriginal culture customs, traditions, stories and language asking any of our members who are willing or wanting to share this heritage to please reach out.
My Story
I am Petronella Moyes but known to my friends as Peggy. Just so you can get to know me a little, I live in the beautiful Adelaide Hills on a 40-acre property. We breed Scottish Highland cattle and I love them. I also have a pet Emu and some donkeys that keep me amused. I am a proud mother of 4 and to keep it even I have 4 grandchildren. The kids love it here and they all call me Oma as part of my Dutch heritage. My husband and I have been married over 20 years and we share everything including our love of travel. Happy to pack our bags whenever we can be it local or international.
I have over the years done all sorts of things so apart from being a qualified and authorised Celebrant for 3 years now and have done over 50 weddings as well as renewals, naming ceremonies and funerals. I also have been a mentor to new celebrants and have qualifications in Wedding Planning, Nursing (Paediatric Emergency currently), Teaching and Business Management. I feel passionate about networking with celebrants, sharing knowledge, advice and tips. I feel privileged to be part of a great team starting this fabulous Networking.
