My name is Veronica Noura West but I do prefer to be called Noura as I didn’t know my name was veronica till I was16 and had to get a passport.

Hi, I’m Veronica Noura West, a passionate civil celebrant based in the beautiful South Coast of NSW. My journey into celebrancy began two years ago, fulfilling a dream that I had held close to my heart for over twenty years. I believe that it’s never too late to chase your dreams, and my family inspires me every day to live authentically, with passion and courage. They see me striving to show that at any age, with the right mindset, anything is achievable. As a registered civil celebrant, nothing brings me greater joy than being part of the most magical and meaningful moments in people's lives. Whether I’m officiating a wedding, deepening the bonds of a commitment ceremony, guiding couples through intimate elopements, helping them renew their vows, or welcoming a new life into the world with a naming day, I’m fully committed to making each ceremony a unique and unforgettable experience. In my experience so far with the ceremonies I have performed, I’ve learned that every couple’s journey is different and deserves to be celebrated in a way that reflects their individual story. I bring a warm, relaxed approach to my work, aiming to create ceremonies that are not only memorable but also deeply personal and meaningful, leaving everyone involved with a lasting sense of joy and connection

Achievements and Contributions

One of my proudest achievements is the ability to offer MC services at wedding receptions for the couples I marry. This role felt like a natural extension of my work, as I’ve built such a deep connection with each couple that it allows me to make their celebrations even more personal and meaningful. My training with TUC provided me with the essential skills and fundamentals to excel in this role, enhancing the seamless transition from celebrant to MC and ensuring each event is uniquely tailored to the couple's story. I take pride in giving my absolute best to each client I work with. Whether it's crafting a unique ceremony or offering support throughout the planning process, my goal is to ensure that every couple feels seen, heard, and celebrated in a way that truly reflects their story.

I’ve learned the importance of being the right fit for my clients. I approach each opportunity with the mindset that not everyone is the perfect match, and that’s okay. My focus is on finding those connections where we truly align, ensuring that the ceremonies I perform are as meaningful and fulfilling as possible​

My mission is to craft personal and memorable ceremonies that celebrate each couple's unique love story with heartfelt care. Driven by a passion for people, I strive to go above and beyond to ensure every ceremony reflects the true essence of those it honours.

Fun Facts or Personal Interests or Favourite Saying

My favourite saying, “I live for today as you’re only here for a short time, not a long time,” reflects my belief in cherishing every moment and making the most of life. Family is central to my world—I deeply value the time spent with my children, grandkids, and extended family, as well as the joy brought by friends. I also have a passion for travel, always excited to explore new places and embrace new experiences.​

Being a celebrant is a cherished part of my life, even though it’s not my full-time job. It’s a dream I’ve long held, and when I’m involved in a ceremony, I dedicate myself fully to ensure that each client’s special day is as magical and memorable as possible. I bring my heart and enthusiasm to every ceremony, striving to create a truly meaningful experience
