We have been asked many times about how do you transfer a NOIM from another Celebrant. So lets set the scene, maybe you have your appointment pending and your family member has asked you to perform their marriage. You of course can not accept the wedding but maybe by the time you are registered you can do the ceremony. In this circumstance another celebrant can be appointed to the couple and can fill out the paperwork. It is best for the couple that this celebrant is appointed as appointment via the AGs is never guaranteed and legally you can not accept the wedding. OR maybe another celebrant falls ill and are an option for a client to take over their wedding, as you are already an appointed celebrant. So the client completes their NOIM with the celebrant who is appointed in full including signatures. Once you are or as long as you are appointed, the NOIM can be emailed to you. You fill out the information on the bottom of page 5 of the NOIM and you carry on with the marriage as you would any normal client/situation. You conduct the wedding and lodge the paperwork. Nothing, other than the bottom of 5 of the NOIM needs to be completed. "Transfer of Notice of Intended Marriage to another Celebrant" - keep it simple and try not to over complicate things.
